Paint Colors
Note: This course uses acrylics, but the colors and mixing process work with most mediums including oil, gouache, and watercolors.
Below is my recommended Split Primary Palette. These paints were chosen because they’re easy to find and allow you to mix the brightest, most vibrant colors. You can also substitute your own paints — just be sure to include a warm and a cool version of each primary color (red, blue, and yellow) so you can mix any color you need.
We’ve listed two size options for each color:
– 2 oz for light usage
– 4.65 oz for students who want more supply upfront
